Dog Dragon Costume Contest

Join us for our ‘Dragon’ Costume Contest! The contest will be held on September 19th, 2026 during the festival at 11am at Harborfront Park. The address of the park is: 101-A West Broadway Port Jefferson, NY 11777. It will be held on the right lawn of the park near the Food Trucks.

Below are the contest rules:

  1. – The cost per dog entry is $5. This payment can be done via check made out to the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, Zeffy, or cash the day of the event.
  2. – We will be accepting entries in-advance online, and the day of the event at the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce information tent.
  3. – Prior to the costume contest, please check-in or sign-up at the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce information tent no later than 10:45am. If you signed up in advance, just mention your name. We will then provide instructions for where the contest will be held.
  4. – For the contest, we only allow (1) dog entry per family.
  5. – The dog costume theme is Dragon. Be as creative as you want!
  6. – Top Dog awards will be given in the following categories: Most Authentic, Most Creative, & Audience Favorite.
  7. – Judging for the Most Authentic and Most Creative categories, the winner will be decided by a panel of 3 judges (to be determined).
  8. – By participating in this event, you give permission for the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce to take photos and/or video of your dog.
